My gay friends are becoming a nuisance to my gay wedding planning -help!!!?
My lovely fiance and I are getting gay married on April 5th. We are paying for the entire shebang ourselves. Our wedding is very small.Our gay friends came out of the woodwork and literally begged hello, we haven& 039 t seen you in years, honey to be attendants. Yet, not one of our gay buds has been helpful.When we asked about venues for bachelorette parties they asked questions such as " can it be somewhere 18 yr olds can go cause my new gf who you& 039 ve never met is underage." When we asked that our attendants wear gray or black one queen insisted on wearing purple When one crafty dyke saw my amazing handmade veil, she went out and made one in ruby red because as she said " when else will I have an opportunity to wear a veil other than your wedding?" the list goes on.I want to tell my gay buds " Do you not get that this is a WEDDING? It is about the union of my fiance and myself. Its our special day, not theirs. What do y& 039 all think? Has anyone else experienced this?

My fianc and I got engaged last year in October after a year and half of being together, on December 3rd the first week summer and last week of spring the weather was beautiful so we decided to have our wedding on that date in 2 years. So December 3rd 2011 as we needed to save and I don& 039 t want to get married while still at University. We rang our caterer and venues and have penciled it in, but my fiance and I have to save the deposit.Now I have always had problems with my future sister in law, but I try to remain level headed so I want to know if she is being rude in this situation.My sister in law SIL met a boy at a christmas party and started to get to know him. We had our engagment party in February and she brought this boy along and decided that at our engagment party they would tell everyone they were going out, spend the night making out up the back of our engagement party and not buy us an engagment present or even a card.Well in june my sis in law and this boy decided to get engaged, they have booked there wedding for this year, but for 4 days before our wedding date for next year. I then found out recently as we have friends who are the same that she is considering having the same wedding colour as us she knows what our colour is and I have been collecting metal goblets and the mother in law has been helping me, so I find out also through the rumour mil she has decided to give her guests metal goblets. I am really angry, Is this unjust?I cant talk to her about it as she never directly addresses me the only time she talks is when we are in a group situation with our friends and no one notices she never talks to me directly.Also I do not want to be told it does not matter about the date or the colours or decorations, as It really is not about that its about the fact that my future SIL attitude to me. What should I do?should I change my stuff even though I have already brought it should I go ahead with it the nearly same date, both garden out door ceremonies, same colour, some of the same decorations, thats all I know so far thats similar Should I see if she will sit down with a mediator at our church and get her to talk about why she dislikes me so much?
So stress over wedding planning, thinking eloping is this a good or bad idea?
My mom and dad haven& 039 t spoke to each other in 10 years, the only reason why there talking is because I am planning my wedding, and it& 039 s been more then hell.They fight non stop, or when there not in the room fighting about wedding details, they& 039 ll bring up the past. Or they& 039 ll complain about each other It& 039 s just awful for me I just feel terrible, shouldn& 039 t this be a joyful experience? My fiance family are shocked by my parent behavior tooFor example my mother and future MIL went dress shoping and all she talked about that day was my dad should pay for the dress, she did not help me choice one.And a other event was my mother and father got banned at one of the reception halls due to there fighting.Also my mother demanding me not to invite my father new wife, and my father says if I do that he will not pay for the DJ and and he won& 039 t give me away I could go on and on, I& 039 m just dreading my wedding day now from all this stress and crazyness my family is giving me, I am seriously thinking of just eloping with my fiance.

Wedding planning books?
My boyfriend proposed to me about a month ago, and we are starting to get serious about planning the wedding since we finally have the time and money to do so. I know there are a LOT of books about this for straight people, I was wondering if there was a wedding planning book for gay people? We are pretty clueless as to what goes into a wedding, and how to plan it. And we don& 039 t have parental support to rely on, so we are kind of on our own with this. Any, and all help will be greatly appreciated Thank you
